Breakthrough is a 1.9/2.0 Hard Demon created by Hinds. The level is one of the first 1.9 levels ever to be uploaded in Geometry Dash and it is also considered to be one of the harder levels of Update 1.9. It was initially considered to be a Very Hard Demon. However, it is more generally considered to be a Medium- or Hard Demon, and in rare cases, even an Easy Demon.
Gameplay[]
The design and concept are similar to that of Electrodynamix, with a 1.9 touch. However, the level uses 1.8 slopes, 1.7 colored blocks, and decorations of both versions. The level is quite tough and difficult due to the fast-paced wave segment, confusing cube section, numerous crucial timings, insane memorization, and a very difficult ship sequence despite its difficulty.
User coins[]
This level contains 3 user coins. However, the second user coin is arguably the hardest one to get:
- The first user coin is located at 29%, at the first ship sequence. The player must carefully go through a gravity portal where the coin is located, which is under an "L" shaped 1.4 block. There is a spike near the portal so be careful.
- The second user coin is located at the first mini wave mode at 74% on the top of the gravity portal. The player must get the second coin with crucial timing or else they will crash.
- The third user coin is located at 92% at the last mini cube segment. The player must jump off onto a ramp, skipping the normal route, heading straight to the last user coin. There is a blue pad that leads the player to a blue gravity portal, going through the normal path.

Trivia[]
- The password for the level is 0000.
- The level contains 12,995 objects.
- This is one of the few old levels before 2.0 which got verified silver user coins, due to the 2.0 Update. Two other examples being Nine Circles and ForceDynamix.
- Manix648 created a remake of this called BreakthroughX.[1]
