Digital Death is a 1.9/2.0 Hard 4* level created by Etzer. It was created as part of the #SaveTriAxis campaign. This level is retro-styled just like TriAxis' original levels, featuring the animations and black-green color scheme. At the end of the level, the words "For Tri" and a heart are seen in pixel art.
Gameplay[]
The level starts off with a short auto section. The decoration featured here is some clouds scattered in a lot of places, as well as some trees. At around 4%, the player must do a single jump. At 7%, the player must do another jump. Then, the level's decoration becomes more varied, an example being some graves and spike pits appearing. After two jumps over the spike pits, the player must jump onto a sinking boat, and then immediately jump off of it. After some more jumps, some casual and some over spike pits, the player falls through a semi-circle hole into an area with streetlights. After the player gets out of there, they must perform more jumps. At 33%, the player becomes a half-speed ship, and the gameplay featured here is just comprised of flying up and down.
Afterward, the player becomes a mini-ball at 43%. The ball section featured here has no spikes, the player simply has to flip up and down to avoid blocks. Following this is a UFO section, and similar to the ship at 33%, the player simply goes up and down. Then, the player becomes a wave. The player must avoid saws that appear occasionally. After the wave, the player goes into a ship portal, where they have to avoid blocks scattered everywhere. Finally, the level ends with a ball section similar to the ball section at 43%, but the player is big this time. As mentioned previously, the end of the level shows the words "For Tri" and a pixel-art heart below it.
User Coins[]
- The first coin is located at 27%, in the first cube section. Do not jump up to the raised structure, but instead stay on the ground to pass through a hidden opening in said structure and collect it. Upon grabbing the coin, the player will be teleported back onto the normal route.
- The second coin is located at 49%, in the first ball segment. To collect it, grab a key earlier in the level to make the coin appear.
- The key for the second coin is located at 42%, in the ship sequence right before the ball part. Drop down onto the bottom of the level to grab it, then ride an invisible ramp back up to the normal route.
- The third and final coin is located at 72%, in the wave segment. To collect it, drop down onto the bottom of the screen, then carefully direct the wave up between two saw-blades.
Trivia[]
- The password for the level is 555555.
- The level contains 9,170 objects.
- According to Etzer, the level was actually made to show his support for the Geometry Dash community, which had lots of conflict at that time.
- It was created as part of the #SaveTriAxis campaign. TriAxis stated in a video that this level is what stopped herself from taking her own life.
- Etzer himself stated in his video that a few levels, including this one, were based on his emotion at the time.
