Orochi (大蛇) is an upcoming 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon collaboration created by Platnuu, CuLuC, CDMusic, Iris, knobbelboy and ZephiroX. Platnuu originally began this project. However, it is now being finished by knobbelboy and multiple other creators because Platnuu wanted 'nothing to do with the level'. It is set to be the hardest level in the game, competing against many other upcoming levels.

History[]

W.I.P.

Gameplay[]

  • 0-49% (CuLuC + CDMusic + Iris + Platnuu): The level starts with a timing-based triple-speed ship segment. Here, the player needs extremely good straight-flying- and timing skills. Next, the player enters a short yet difficult wave segment featuring insanely tight spaces and sudden speed changes between half-speed and quadruple-speed to try to throw off the player. Afterwards, the player enters a double-speed ship segment with a handful of tight spaces the player must fly through. Next, the player enters a wave-mixed segment with an extremely difficult robot part. The player needs crucial timing here. Afterwards, the message 'Orochi' appears and signals the quadruple-speed music drop. Next, the player enters a very long cube, robot and spider-mixed segment. The player needs crucial timing again at this part. The player enters another part where Xing Tian's face appears. The following UFO, wave and ship segments are considered the level's hardest parts.
  • 49-61% (knobbelboy + CuLuC): This part starts with a complicated mini-wave section. Next, in the ship segment, the player still needs extreme straight-fly skills and manoeuvering to avoid gears. The player then enters a very complicated UFO section featuring precise timings leading to a very tight wave segment and then a ship requiring straight-flying. Next is a very timing-based cube section and a brief wave. After this section, Xing Tian's face appears again before a difficult mix of UFO, ship, wave and cube sections appears.
  • 61-100% (ZephiroX): ZephiroX's part has the most detail. It begins with a timing-based cube segment and then becomes a very tight slow-paced ship segment, leading into a cube section with timings, followed by a mix of a ship, UFO, cube and ball sections. Next is a very intense cube part mixing quadruple- and triple-speed, leading to a wave section reminiscent of Cataclysm's first wave. After this is a ball part at single-speed containing difficult timings, with short segments of the ship and robot following, ending with a cube section. Next, the drop begins. It starts with a difficult jump, followed by a couple more drops before transitioning into quadruple-speed. This quadruple-speed section has difficult cube timings and a difficult dual-wave. After the dual is a short yet difficult cube section, then a rather difficult UFO section followed by a wave section with few size portals. The gameplay then becomes triple-speed for a short time, and is now a ship. During the ship segment, the gameplay becomes quadruple-speed again and transitions between triple-speed and quadruple-speed multiple times as the player goes through many gravity portals. Overall, this ship section is challenging. Then comes a short and difficult cube section. The next section is a short ship segment with multiple changes of gravity. Then, there are difficult UFO- and cube sections. The final section begins with a difficult straight-fly featuring orbs, gravity- and size portals. Finally, the level ends with a very difficult cube jump.

Trivia[]

  • The Japanese word (オロチ) means 'Eight-Forked Serpent.'
    • Yamata no Orochi or Orochi, translated as the Eight-Forked Serpent in English, is a legendary 8-headed and 8-tailed Japanese dragon.
    • Orochi is also the Japanese name for the Yo-kai Venoct from Yo-Kai Watch, which is very similar to the Yamata no Orochi.
    • The Pokémon Hydreigon, Zweilous and Deino are all based on the Yamata no Orochi.
  • Many people said that when this level is verified and published, it will most likely be one of the hardest in the game.
  • knobbelboy has created a difficult extension to the level after picking it up from Platnuu, nearly doubling its length.[1]
  • Ji was decorating a part of the level but dropped out. His part is now being decorated by ZephiroX.
  • Ji once had a gameplay part in the level. His part started at the second drop and featured dual gameplay. This part was later changed as some people said the dual-wave part was too hard. It meant that the level would be slightly easier than it originally intended.
  • Many people say Platnuu's version is easier than unnerfed INNARDS, but since knobbelboy extended it, it is considered almost twice as hard.
  • In June 2021, the German player Kurumi managed to achieve numerous runs on the extended version, even beating the full extension.
  • Platnuu's part is currently being redecorated by CuLuC. Originally, ZephiroX and knobbelboy were keeping the decorator's identity a secret, but CuLuC started tweeting his thoughts about Orochi, which led many people to believe he would redecorate Platnuu's part. It was ultimately revealed this was true, although CDMusic and Iris would help develop the rest of the segment.
